How It Works: Photo Catalytic Oxidation (PCO) or Silver+ PCO cell. The cell contains nano-sized metals—silver, nickel and rhodium, plus copper and titanium—that act as catalyst compounds. These five metals work synergistically as they react with photons from ultraviolet (UV) light within the PCO cell to create millions of redundant oxidizers. All of these have been demonstrated to kill or neutralize airborne organisms.
